State-of-the-Art Antiseptic Procedures
Our sterilization procedures meet or exceed the Centers for Disease Control guidelines. We heat-sterilize all hand pieces and instruments after each use. We only use ADA approved disinfectants. We use gloves, masks, eye protection and barrier covers at all times.
Closed Water System
We understand your concern about water quality, and the importance of keeping you and your family healthy. For this reason, we utilize a closed water system conforming to CDC/ADA recommendations and standards. By using this water system in dental procedures, we are able to get rid of any substances that may compromise the health of our clients. The safety, health and care of our patients are our top priorities. This is just another way to show our patients that we care!
Digital X-Rays
We offer in-office digital x-rays for your convenience.
Digital x-rays are computer-generated images. These images require up to 90%
less radiation than with conventional film type x-rays. Instead of using the
traditional silver-oxide x-ray film that must be developed and then fixed in
caustic and environmentally damaging solutions, the new system takes pictures
via a small electronic sensor and instantaneously transmits a picture of
the tooth onto the video monitor in the treatment room. Therefore, we can see
your teeth and surrounding structures immediately. Feel free to contact us for
more details, or to make an appointment!
DIAGNOdent Laser Cavity Detection
At Gerber Dental Care we offer the latest diagnostic technology available.
DIAGNOdent uses a harmless, low intensity, laser light to provide instant
feedback on the health of a tooth. A pen like probe glides harmlessly over
the tooth surface constantly checking the health of the tooth. A number
scale and an alarm signals the Doctor or hygienist when there are signs of
hidden decay. Early detection provides us the opportunity to treat decay
before it destroys tooth structure from the inside out. This new technology
is completely safe, pain free and is more accurate than x-rays for cavity
detection on the chewing surface of back teeth.
